"Reaching the summit is the ambition of every one of us"

Silvio "Gnaro" Mondinelli

Te-sa strengthens its ties with sport. The Borgomanero-based company has become "Main Sponsor 2010" of Silvio Mondinelli, known within the mountaineering world and without as "Gnaro".
Te-sa is set to back the expert Brescian climber and several times acclaimed "Man of the 8000s" in his future expeditions in Italy and outside Europe.

Born in 1958, Silvio Mondinelli was a mountain guide instructor for several years, also serving as a dog expert for the Italian Financial Police (GdF)
The talented mountaineer, who hails from Gardone Val Trompia, has made countless ascents in the Alps and the American massifs, and is famous for having climbed all of the world’s 14 mountains over 8,000 metres in height without oxygen apparatus (Everest, K2, Kangchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Nanga Parbat, Annapurna, Gasherbrum I, Gasherbrum II, Shishapangma, and daunting peaks like Puscanturpa, McKinley, Acocangua).

Through these feats, Gnaro became acquainted with the poverty-stricken local populations he encountered during his expeditions and started to raise funds to help the Sherpa people and provide the children of these wonderful lands with the opportunity to attend school.
In 2005, through his non-profit organisation “Friends of Monterosa”, he built the Trauma Point hospital in Kathmandu.

Te-sa, a leading company in the heating and plumbing sector, felt a natural affinity with Gnaro, one of Italy’s most experienced climbers, who perfectly embodies its corporate style: determined, dynamic and aware of the goals to be reached., Much like scaling the highest peaks in the world.
